KM Group show support for Marie Curie Cancer Care
KM Group are looking for 35 volunteers to trek
Mount Kilimanjaro, one of the highest freestanding mountains in the
world, towering 5,895m above the surrounding plains, to raise funds
to employ more
Marie Curie Cancer Care nurses in Kent.
Steve Fountain, KM Group’s Head of Radio, will
be leading the trek, which takes place between July 8 and
17 2010, taking participants on a journey through
Tanzania’s cultivated farmlands, lush rainforests, alpine meadows
and above the clouds to the barren lunar landscape of the upper
mountain, before a final push to the snow-capped summit.
To be part of this demanding expedition
volunteers will need to pay an entry fee of £350 upon registration
and raise a minimum of £3,750 in sponsorship. They'll also
need to have a high level of health and fitness and training
for the journey is essential. Entrants will be provided with a
training guide.
Those interested in taking on the challenge
who would like to learn more about the Trek route, itinerary and
requirements are invited to visit http://www.kmfm.co.uk/ for more
