Results Tables

The Government's league tables record the GCSE results of
secondary school pupils and the post-16 results for students taking
A and AS exams.
The key benchmark indicator is the number of
pupils passing five or more GCSEs at grades A* to C including maths
and English. The tables also record the number of passes at these
grades in all subjects.
Other indicators record how pupils fared who
took a language GCSE and also how many pupils passed two science
GCSEs.
Care should be taken when comparing the
perfromance of schools, as Kent has a selective system with grammar
schools that take the 25 per cent of the most able children based
on the 11-plus.
You can see how well individual schools are
performing by looking at the "value added measure" which
charts the progress of pupils from the time they enter school to
the time they take their GCSEs and takes account of a range of
social demographic factors, such as free school meal take up.
You can also compare how well schools
have performed over recent years.
