Gravesend Grammar excel in Kent School Games badminton finals for West Kent

Gravesend Grammar School
under-16s – finished fourth
Gravesend Grammar School came out
on top in the under-14 West Kent boys’ badminton finals held at
Castlemaine Hall, Gillingham.
Progresssing from the six-team
tournament, Gravesend defeated The Judd School from Tonbridge 5-0
in the final.
Wilmington Grammar beat Cornwallis
Academy of Maidstone 5-0 in the fifth/sixth place play-off match.
In the under-16s finals, Gravesend Grammar finished fourth and
Wilmington Grammar fifth.
The top four teams from each event
will be invited to the Kent School Games finals being held from
Thursday, July 1 to Saturday, July 3 in Canterbury.
The competition, organised by Kent
County Council, was part of the Center Parcs National Inter Schools
Championships as well as the Kent School Games.

Standings:
Under-14s: 1 Gravesend Grammar School,
2 The Judd School, 3 Angley School, 4 Rainham Mark Grammar School,
5 Wilmington Grammar School, 6 Cornwallis Academy.
Under-16s: 1 Tunbridge Wells Grammar
School, 2 The Judd School, 3 St Simon Stock, 4 Gravesend Grammar
School, 5 Wilmington Grammar School.
