The Kent Messenger is the largest selling weekly newspaper in the UK. (ABC Jul/Dec 2007)

The paper began life in 1859 as the Kent Messenger and Maidstone Telegraph.

It has been in the ownership of the Boorman family since the 1890s.

The Kent Messenger is the Maidstone-based flagship weekly of the KM Group and sells throughout the county with editions for Maidstone, Medway, Malling, Weald, Sittingbourne and County.
